You're going to have to wait until the spring to start your grow. Probably late spring in Wisconsin. My advice is to read and participate in the forums as much as possible until then. Good luck.
Yeah, I know it's old... but I hope you don't plan on doing an organized outdoor grow in Wisconsin. Even if the Medical MJ law passes in Wisconsin, they're still not allowing Cultivation... so if you're doing an outdoor grow here, it better be a "Oh look... a clearing... let's toss some seeds here and see how they grow in 3 months." That should be it... Don't do any large gardens outside in Wisconsin unless you live in the middle of nowhere, have a 1/4 mile long driveway, and your nearest neighbor is a half mile down the road or more.
I'm in WI too, more in the middle than the south tho- I am also planning a small outoor guerilla grow. I think a good cue would be for the farmers to plant their corn. When the seedlings break through, thats when my plants are going outside. The local farmers have been in the area for a long time, I think they're judgement can be countd on, as far as frost and temps go- thats my plan anyways, maybe it will work for you- From what I understand, like mentioned above, spring sets in a little later here due to cooler temps. So I am guessing about a month or so, roughly- We just got rain across the whole central WI, so almost all snow is gone- it wont be much longer!!! It's possible you may want to veg up a big female, and take clones for planting in spring. If this is your plan, I'd prolly start that soon
