Alright guys i picked up a local tube axial 4'' fan from my local hydro store, the only one they had left was the one that was not wired up, and he tossed it in for free after i bought all of my shit Now ive had a hard time trying to figure out how to run this to make it work, what i was thinking is to get some 14 gauge wire, red.blue and green, run the red and blue off of the two forks that are there, and the green off of the ground, and then connect it to a male plug in adapter. But i am not too good with electiricity so if anyone could help me that would be great, here are some pics!
if you have a three cord combo you just need a grounded power cord, like an extension cord those work perfect... cheap ones are 5-7$ anywere just cut the female end off..hook up and plug in.. one more option for grounded cord's ...you can still use a non grounded cord like a lamp cord etc. and run the green wire off your fan to a set screw in a peice of wood...just use two metal washer's...sandwich the piece of ground wire in the washer's, then screw it in the wood...grounded...your other two just hook to the regular non grounded cord like the ground wire was never even there,... those are the only option's to hooking up this voltage axial fan...
oh if you get a extension cord it will have a green,black, and white wire...green is ground,white is positive, black is neg...
What i did was got an extension cord, cut off the female end, crimed connectors on the en of them, heat shrinked tubing aruound them, screwed in theground and pluged it in it works perrfct.!
I have the same one . They make a cord with the molded connector on it . I would just solder on some leads from a extension cord as well . Time is money !!!!
