Wiring A 3 Pin PC Fan

    Hey guys,

    I've never worked with electronics before, so I need some help.

    I got a four pack of 12Volt .16Amp PC fans.

    What is the cheapest way to wire one, or two of these to a plug? (I dont have a 12v phone charger, I have a 5V)

    My grow box is 15 in by 15in by 20 in tall.

    only wire the red and black. the 5v will run the fans, but they will be weak. go to goodwill, and get some cheap 12v phone chargers

    Yes! thats a good idea, im sure a thrift store will have a 12v charger.

    also, would one exhaust fan be enough for one plant in my box with two 42 cfls?

    Judging by your dimensions, Id say yes. But you will probably want to add in another IMO... unless you have 3 intake fans running as well. Then your temp will probably be at reasonable levels.
