Does anyone know if a 12v dc computer fan can be wired to 9v ac adapter? I just picked up 2 antec 80mm fans 10 bucks each with 3 speeds. I wired one to a 12v adapter I had, but all I have left is a 9v and a 9.6v. The 1 fan I already wired is 10x quiter than the 120v radio shack fans I paid 25 ea for. So now I can keep the lights on w/ the fans 24/0 all through (lowryder) and I can return these pieces of garbage radio shack fans and save 30 bucks. So if anyone knows if it will be safe wired to a 9v I can get the other one going too and my cab will be complete. Thanks
The adapter 12v probably has enough amps to run both fans. Check the amps on adapter. Add the amps of fans together and if the adapter puts out more amps than the two fans use they can be wired together.
