OK so I'm going to buy a window a/c to help cool my grow tent but I have no window right next to it. To solve this I will run ducting from the vent on the unit to my intake. Now here's the problem; I have a day/night temp. controller to plug the ac in but will the unit remember the setting when the power is shut off by the controller. It has a digital display with buttons not dials. Sent from my Z970 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Generally speaking most affordable ac units will reset when you turn off power. You may also be better off running it in cycles on the unit itself if possible. Or if you run it constantly on low to obtain optimal temperatures, youll also have better control over humidity.
Would it work if I get an ac with dials, like the older kind Sent from my Z970 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yes, I used a similar setup. Dials work with thermostat outlets. It's not plugged into the thermostat in this pic, but it works.
Thanks for the help, a dial type should be a few bucks cheaper too so its a win win Sent from my Z970 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Buy a Frigidaire, they hold the temp when they come back on. Some models have a temp sense remote, which would basically eliminate the need for your controller.
