I think that if he had gotten thrown in jail, like a regular person, that would have been the straw that broke the camals back, and America would have put it's foot down to say "this is wrong." Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that he's not going to jail. But I think that he would have been America's reason to legalize it had he been.

I still find it a bit unnerving that Willie Nelson can get away with that much herb, not to mention the mushrooms.. But we still are imprisoned for having a few grams on us. Dont get me wrong, I love Willie.
that's what i'm saying. my friend went to jail on his 18th birthday for a sack with less than half a gram in it. cops told him happy birthday as he was ducking his head into the back of the cop car. and willie nelson can just drive away from a confrontation with a cop like that? i'm happy he wasn't charged or anything, but it's still bullshit.

this is so true i know plent of dudes that have got busted and charged with intent and many of them had less then a Oz let alone 1 1/2 lbs...its fucked up but its the way it is i guess
I think because between a whole tour bus it'd be very easy to communitcate the "personal use" card. I mean, they're on a tour, doing multiple stops in multiple cities with multiple smokers who have money... it's much easier for them to purchase a few pounds at the begining of the tour so they don'thave to deal with any BS throughout the tour... hah But the double-standard is fucked up, but I'll never complain about that when it comes to marijuana laws, because I never want to see a fellow smoker get fucked for the green...
I shared your fears. I thought he was getting locked up. I knew willie was no stranger to grass but i didn't know he was down for shrooms.
