will this work?

  1. hey guys i wanted to run this by you guys before i go through the actual setup

  2. the 4" fan pushes 180cfm and the 6" is like 460 cfm

  3. Put some arrows of your intended airflow. With carbon filters it is usually recommended to suck the air in, not blow it out, and you need a place to exhaust the heat to, I cant really tell which way you plan on moving the air though.

  4. so ur saying i have to have another route for my air comming out of my hoods?

air comes in from a 4"duct and fan by window blows in air goes through hoods then through 6" fan and into carbon filter

  5. if you have some money to spend

first... all your ducting should be one size, its easier... 6 all the way

I would cut two holes... one for intake and one for exhaust and loose the carbon filter

this way your lights would be cooling with outside air and never touching grow space....

then get yourself a small four inch inline fan and filter just for exhausting grow space air... this will help if you end up using CO2

    but thats just me

  6. i dont really have anywhere to push that air comming out of the hoods except the exhaust to carbon filter will this work or will have have heat build up

  7. then reverse the flow... pull house air threw a filter, then the lights, then the fan and exhaust outside...

this removes the hot used air out of the house

so just do everything in reverse let the carbon filter pull air in from the 6" fan through the hoods and pushed outside

i didnt know i could pull air in from the carbon filter i thought i could just push out

even that way i still have to have a fresh air input dont i?

  9. yeah.. but usually there is a gap under doors... the fan will be strong enough... hook it up and check temps before snapping beans to ensure you have good temps and good airflow
