Will this work for a MH bulb??

    I found a GE Sunlamp Kit at a yard sale and bought it for $10.00. It didn't have a bulb, but it says it takes a 275w Tanning lamp. It has the large (mougal?) socket. I was wondering if I could run a 250w MH light in this. I opened it up and don't see any sort of balast, only a timer, but maybe the timer and balast are one in the same... Not too sure on how these things work, but if it will run the 250w MH light, I'll just bypass the timer and build an air cooled hood for it. :hello:

    Please help, if you can.

    I'll take it apart and take pics of all the parts and the timer tonight and post them here. thanks for the reply. :)

    Hard to tell....most need a ballast. I would google that model of light and see what it has inside and what it requires.
