I have a flowering room with a 600w hps and I veg with 4ft 4tube hydrofarm (216w) could I put some of my veg plants under the 600 for 12 he then back under the floros for the other 8 hrs or will that stress them with the fluctuation of light and all?
Probably fine. I have a 2 ft, 8 bulb T5, and a 400 watt hps in my veg room. I always rotate my plants around. No prob.
But urs are in the same place running at the same time right? Mine are in 2 separate places and would be getting 2 diff amounts off light for a good portion of the day u know what I'm saying?
Yeah its fine. You can do just about whatever you want with the vegg plants. The only light cycle you really need to worry about stressing your plants in is flower
That would be a waste of time, veg plants want blue spectrum, hps is all red spectrum. Look into getting an mh

If you have ever veged under hps trust me it works great. MH of the same wattage actually has less lumens than hps. The "blue" doesn't out weigh the lumen loss if you ask me. MH might give you a little better node spacing, but hps will get you into flower in less time. If that made any sense what so ever. To the OP. Trust me I thought of that too. That's why I say you should be fine. Veg plants can take just about anything.
