I was thinking about getting this all in one hydro setup from www.stealthhydro.com Do you guys think this setup is worth it? Im not looking to spend a whole lot of money 250 bucks top including my light setup. Any ideas? The one from stealth uses a dual spectrum cfl. Has anyone had success using a setup similar to that?
im made a bigger system for around $60.00 , just look at the pics go to home depot and buy what you need , but mine was a drip system it got watered from the top , almost the same, you can fined 90% of those things at lowes or home depot , all you need is a drill and holesaw drill bits, i wouldnt pay $175.00 for that , remember it is a 8 gal tank, i seen one on ebay for $75.00 plus s/h if you dont want to make oyur own
hey rev, as someone said, you can make those things. also, unless you want to do constant battle with ph, i'd suggest you have 5 gallons per plant.
Im starting to think i should just make my own bubble bucket like the one in this forum, use some lst, and invest in a hps lamp. Im worried about the electricity consumption as well as the heat issue. Would it be possible to grow the plants through their veg state with the cfl lights and then bust out the hps when they begin to show buds for bigger buds?
save your money and make your own. yes, you can use fluorescents through veg. that's a good idea and some people do that. don't worry about electricity unless you're using a large number of lights. one 1000 watter and a couple other things doesn't use that much juice.
Good choice, bubble buckets imho is the bomb. As for electric cost, your total cost is least per oz of yeild with MH/HPs lights. If you cut down on your computer use and Tv watching and just be conservative you can keep the bill down to only 20-30 a month. For a light I'd get a 400Hps with a MH conversion bulb.
