I mixed about 6 or 7 cups of water with a cup and a half of sugar and a 2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast. Attached a tube to the top of the container. Attached the other tube to the fan which oscillates. I'm just wondering if this will do or is it just a waste of time.
I tried this on my first grow, its a waste of time, from what I have read here the best way to keep proper enrichment levels is with a co2 tank, everything else is just a waste of time and money...
That yeast solution puts out so little co2 that you would be better off just breathing on them a few times a day. I used to smoke cigs around mine, I don't know if it was a good idea or not though.
actually i read somewhere that the amount of co2 in the air has to be a constant and that pumping co2 15 minutes a few times a day doesn't do what people think it does. actually here's where i read that http://www.progressivegardens.com/growers_guide/co2.html "A fluctuating CO2 level will not allow the plant to acclimate itself to the given environment, in turn, not allowing the plant to use the higher levels of CO2 available to it. In other words, it will acclimate to the lowest common denominator." so i guess the best thing you can do is make sure there is good air circulation.
