Will the smell stick to drywall?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by 7764234, Dec 7, 2012.

  1. Hey guys, my mom doesn't want me smoking inside because she doesn't want it smelling like weed (they are planning on moving soon) so during summer I just put a couple chairs on the deck and it was great but now it's getting rainy and windy so I can't really sit outside. I started smoking in my bathroom out the window a couple nights ago. There's no fan or anything so I'm just blowing it out, a couple times the smoke just got blown back in from the wind. The only thing for the smoke to really stick to would be towels and the drywall itself. Does the smell stick to drywall at all? I usually leave the window open for a bit to air out I can't smell it but my mom can always seem to smell it, she somehow smelled it the next day after vaping inside with the window open.

  2. Smell's linger for a couple of days. I dont think it will stick to the walls though :smoking:

  3. nah i blaze in my house every day and the house doesn't smell like bud at all in the mornings

  4. Blow your hoots through a sploof and you wont have any problems regarding smell except if weed is being continuously cherried in a bowl or jay.

  5. not necessarily. if you smoke a fat blunt of dank in the house - yeah it will linger for a day or two. but if your just blazin a couple bowls and got the windows open, the smell should be outta there within an hour or so.

when i still lived with my mom i used to blaze in my room allllll the time, she didn't mind it just as long as she couldn't smell it. alls i would do was open up the window, towel on the door, and spray some ozium or febreeze when im done and the smell would be gone in minutes.

other then that op, no, weed stank does not stick into the wall.

  6. Nah it wont stick to anything to long, thats the great thing about weed unlike cigs which stick to everything. The weed smell will mostly be gone after an hour at most. In rare cases like hotboxing your room with a joint, it may linger for a day or two.
Best of luck to you OP.

  7. I smoke in my apartment all the time, smells don't linger as much as you think, unless you blaze a blunt indoors with the doors and windows closed, you'll be fine in like 30 minutes

  8. Smells stick to porous things like Carpet, bedsheets, hair, clothes, cloth, spongebob, and woll (which practically holds on to any smell till the end of time).

Weed stank isn't like glue, i've hotboxed my room, spilled the bong water on my bed, and which some fabreeeeeeez spray and my fan on the smell was non existant after about 30 minutes to an hour. After which my parents (this was back in high school) and i had a conversation in my room about something and i never had a second thought about the smell. It doesnt stick around as much as some paranoid people say.

Drywall wont really hold on to smells...idk who would tell you that, especially if its painted. Just seems not logical.

  9. 1. Febreeze
Obviously, spray after your sesh just to make sure.

    2. Dragon's Breath/homemade sploof
Blow your smoke through this and it leaves the other side smelling nothing like weed. Homemade sploofs are super easy to make. Just take a toilet paper tube and stuff it with a couple, I usually used to go with 3-5 sheets of fabric softener.

You could also leave an apple cut in half in the room overnight. I do it with my truck and you can't smell anything resembling smoke.
