Will she make it? :(

  1. She has been crooked at the top since she broke soil, now she's 4-5 cm tall in a matter of 6 hours, but the seed shell is still holding on??

  2. Be patient. The shell will come off eventually. But it looks as if she'll survive. Hopefully..

  3. looks like it was one of those beans where the seed-cap doesn't want to come off. more details would be good. soil looks pretty wet. are you letting it dry up between waterings/feeds? very important to let er dry up. still too young for food, you feeding? what about your medium, pre-ferted??? it'll prob pull through.

Pre fert, only watered once since germinated seed was planted. Other seedlings are moving much much slower than her.

  5. Howz it guys, sorry, but this is an off subject question. But how do I start a thread of my own via iPhone? I tried to figure it out but i just smoked a spliff wit my lady, and I seem to high to do so...

OT, in the navigator on the bottom that shows current, profile, settings, etc, click the one furthest left for categorize, then find on you want to start a thread in and click the icon on the top right. Then click new thread. BOOM! Now, back on topic... Lol

  7. imo, this is the problem when using too large a container for your plant. takes forever for your medium to dry up. so when it comes time to feed, your still soaking wet, you feed, and now you've overwatered causing the droop.

  8. The shell might come off but I had two that I carefully removed the shells off of and it helped. The shell staying on is likely a symptom of planting too shallow in the dirt. The shell usually comes off while working its way through the dirt. Next time, plant it down a little lower, maybe another half inch or so. Its worth helping the shell off - it can leave a slimy substance on the leaves and cause some burn. I had one suffer this. It recovers fine but why have it happen if you can avoid it? ;)

Cheers been on GC 4 about a month only realising there's an app just now! Merci 4 the tip. Missevo

  12. Yeah make sure u just stick to the basic's like enough light and warmth just keep her happy that'll fall off in a day of so!

    Good luck Missevo

  13. Will she survive with one cfl bulb running 1k lumens? Or will it force flowering early?

  14. It will only flower if the lights are on 12 hours and off 12 hours.

  15. I took the seed casing off, I'll post a progress pic tonight! She's growing faster than I imagined she would!

  16. If she is stretching then you may want to move the light closer. You can also, very carefully, bury some stem. Use a teaspoon and go slow.

This morning I moved the light to about 4-5 inches above the plant, hoping she'll open up by tonight

I hear yahh, but I was having mixed opinions about the seedling needing light, people were telling my to put it under the lights only when the first 2 leaves are visible?

  20. Good job, man. I think the plant appreciates you helping it out like that. Just bury seeds a little deeper when first planting next time. ;)
