    It should heal fine, I got my finger stuck in a bike chain in between the chain and the spikey part and it cut through the top of my nail to my bone and it wasn't suppose to grow back, but its normal now so you should be fine.

    Keep a wet dressing covered by a dry dressing on it for about 2 days, after that you can switch to dry dressings or a regular bandaid.
