The clone I bought was a lemon skunk from some dispensary. I probably should've logged when I started flowering, but I was just gonna try to go by trichome color. Clone takes off like 2weeks of veg or 2 extra week of veg, depending on how you look at it. But I agree ,next grow is gonna be a seed. I was a newbie when I decided on a clone.
It is quicker. The seedling stage alone almost takes a month to get to the size of a clone. Sure the genetics get weaker and weaker but mainly for people dealing or commercial. They can make a hundred clones from a mother without paying one penny. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
With a seed you get the pick the bank and strain/genetics and you know what you're getting. I have no idea how they handled my clone the month or so before I got it and if it is actually a lemon skunk, that's just what they told me lol. Cloning yourself is very self sufficient and effective

I start watching when the hairs/pistils pass 50% colour change. Then use magnifying glass to watch trichomes. As the pistils hit 70-85% turned, the trichs should all have gone from clear to cloudy. Harvest time! If you don't have a glass or loupe just go by the hairs. Then get something for next time. Be kind. Perfect your craft. Give more than you take. We are family.
That's a pretty weak seed if it takes that long to catch up to a clones start size. Should be no more than a week of growth from a seed if the genetics and your soil are good.
