will it work????

    i was thinking of making a bigger box shade using this sheet of wite metal i got then fitting two square pc fans to it blowing on the bulb becoz i only got a tiny shade and my room is qwite big. im thinking of lowerign the heigth as well coz it nine foot tall not but i thinking of bringit down to 6footish coz then it will im prove the amount of ligth coz it will be a smaller spape i think lol tell me what you think and if any one things that the ligth box its a good idea speaks later n

    well what kind of light do you have going?

    And why would you blow the fans directly onto the bulb? you should make them a little lower.

    it would be a big woden box wich is lined with a shheet of white metal ok. and where the bulb sits there will be two pcs just under the bulb so then i can put it closer to my plants. im useing my 400w maxi brigth

    im confused ... is your light 9 foot above your plants ???

    why would you use metal sheeting ??? cant you just paint the wooden box ???

    i have a 400 watt hps i do have a few temp problems on really hot days but nothing drastic on the avverage day ..
    but the light is no more than 1 foot above the plants ... unless theyre seedlings ..

    edit to say the fans wont make much difference if tis a closed box ... you will just be blowing the air thats in the box round . basically its not cool air ... the idea of the fans is to have one or more drawing air into the box which should be either coller or warmer temps depending .. and one or more blowing the hot air out of the box ..

    oh yer i know what you mean liek one fan at each side one pulling air into my bulb and one blowing it out. my ligths not nine foot away room my plant thats the hiegth of my room and my ligths now on the cellin coz my plant grow too big

    i thourgth about painting the wooden box but i have a big sheet of white meal the same stuff as some of the shades are made from so i was gonna bend it into shape to make a bigger shade

    yer yer they nine feet tall but i got five plants and they only got about 2-3once per plant and nine foot should have a lot more it coz my shade is shit so they kept streaching:O(
