Will it get dry?

    Hello GC, I'm storing already broken up weed in a medicine bottle I know its not air tight but I also have the bottle wrapped in a zip lock bag. I have it in a metal safe under my bed. I was wondering if it would dry out? and if so how long would it take? Thanks :smoke:

    Dont worry about it, its not going to get dry.

    If it's already broken up, it will dry out a bit, but not to a point where it's not smokeable or less effective, well I guess the effectiveness could change depending on how long your planning on keeping it down there. But I'm not really sure how long you could keep it down there without deteriorating because I've always kept my stash in mason jars (the massive ones) or glass jars with a cork top for my bedside table and desk (4inches tall, 1 inch diameter), both of which I highly recommend, and the cork top jar fits in my safe for when we have relatives over and me and my dad do our "spring cleaning", if you will. But I digress, you should be good, might be better if you put it in a sandwich bag and wrap it up then put that in the medicine bottle. How long are you expecting it will be before you are planning on consuming it?

    Well I have like 5 grams total and I plan on portioning it for mabey 2-3 months because I only really smoke on the weekends

    Best option is to put it in an air tight container like a glass jar. Then for sure you know it's going to have a good shelf life

    Marijuana does loose its potency over time, but it takes a very long time. I have weed that is a year old, only stored in zip lock bags and as strong as ever. A few months won't aggect anything.
