Will I get caught?

    My mom is gonna be gone for 8 hours. I'm gonna hotbox my bathroom with the shower running on hot. Will it smell if I let it air out for a few hours afterwords? I'll be smoking about a gram.

    Just go outside, chances are you will get caught pretty quick.. I can't tell you how many times I've tried the "I'll leave the shower running." Never worked so I don't think it will ever start unless you have a vape.

    Take a walk in the woods. Hotboxing is stupid and does little to get you further inebriated on marijuana drugs.

    Just do it outside. Hot boxing isn't as amazing as you might think, and it isn't worth the risk.

    Why are you thanking these people? No one even took the time to give you a reasonable answer. I hotbox my room which has no windows with a fan on and a towel blocking the bottom of the door and the smell is gone in about an hour, 8 hours with the room having a window would be way more than enough time to get the smell out, don't worry about getting caught.

    I think everyone is missing the part where his mom is going to be gone for EIGHT hours. I've smoked in my room like 15 minutes before my mom got home and all I do is spray a little febreeze and point a fan at my window and the smell is gone in like, 10 minutes.

    You will most likely not get caught, especially if you air out the room well. No need to keep the shower on, imho, just makes the air moist and increases the chance of headaches. Just get all the cloth pieces like potential laundry baskets and washcloths/towels out of there before you light up. Fabric tends to get smelly from smoke, whereas tiles and metal dont absorb it.
    Also, hotboxing ain't all that great IMO. If I were you, I'd just go outside anyway, smoke up and go shower afterwards. Showering high is delicious win ;)

    Well, hotboxing isn't a good idea, if you want to smoke in the bathroom and have a window fan ejecting the smoke then that should be suitable, the smoke and smell might linger too long, and the anxiety you'll have waiting for the smell and smoke to dissipate isn't worth the benefits of hotboxing. I have smoked blunts in rooms with a fan on exhaust in the window, and never was caught.

    QFT, except I'll take bong snaps and point my head out the window to exhale while my mom (and dad) are home. Don't even have a fan on, and it doesn't smell in my room at all.

    If you truly want to be able to get high anywhere, I would invest in the Magic Flight Launch Box. It's so small and so portable, you will soon be thinking of spots to use this in public instead of thinking about all those secluded spots. I was vaping with my girlfriend and my best friend in my room, with my door open, while my mom was cleaning and had to constantly pass by my open door. She never said a word. :cool:
