Discussion in 'Cannabis Edibles & Recipes' started by orangegrovekush, Sep 6, 2012.

  1. So after smoking everyday for 4 months i noticed alot of negative effects and i also wasnt getting high anymore but kept smoking cause i didn't wanna go through the withdrawals but then i said fuck it and just quit. i had bad withdrawals for 2 weeks then they wherent as bad my goal was to quit forever if i never felt normal but if i did end up feeling normal i would smoke again but only on weekends so i've been sober for 3 months now and i want to smoke tommorow then skip saturday and smoke on sunday so my question is will i be able to sleep on saturday? or will i get addicted straight away again and feel as if i need weed to sleep? ive been sleeping really good for the past 2 months so i dont wanna fuck it up.

  2. meant to post this in a different thread have no idea how i ended up posting it in the edible part.

  3. Nah you should be fine man, it's only when things become normal to do on weed that it becomes hard to do sober. At the moment it's normal for you to sleep sober so it would probs take at least 5 days of blazing for it to switch around.

  4. The "addiction" to marijuana is psychological. Not saying it's not real or has no physical effects, just that it's not a physical addiction like heroin. To resolve a psychological addiction, you've got to examine your approach to marijuana. When you were smoking previously, why were you smoking? Was it for entertainment or was it escape? If the latter, then the key to your success is to figure out what you're escaping from and deal with it. I'm not asking those questions, just putting it out there as examples.

Don't feel bad. Many, many pot smokers go through similar stretches in their lives, myself included. While it may turn out that weed isn't your thing, just ease back into it slowly. As you grow more comfortable with it and have resolved your issues, you'll be able start and stop as you wish without those withdrawal symptoms. Good luck. :D

  5. yeah i know its not physically addictive and yeah i was using it for fun at first then to escape from my problems or i guess u could say to numb my problems but i worked that shit out in my head while being sober also if i ever do feel bad im simply not going to smoke untill i feel good only smoking for fun from now on

  6. Dude I'm in the same boat, been on a TB for about 2-3 weeks now, but I'm still sleepin like complete shit regardless if i take melatonin or a sleepin pill. You got any tips to get to sleep without weed or anything else?

  7. Exercise man, it's a bitch but it does work. If you go for a long run or lift heavy weights it will release a lot of energy and anxiety that can prevent you from sleeping. Melatonin is good on T breaks though because you already have vivid dreams anyway so the melatonin super charges it it's like a psychedelic trip some times.
Also refrain from drinking caffine and coke and all that jazz.
