Will a 1k hps be too much in a 40x40x80 tent

    I am currently running a 600 watt HPS vented hood in my 40X40X80 grow tent

    Will a 1K hps with a vented hood be overkill for that size space?

    Also the room is climate controlled and I have no heat issues with the 600w.

    400w would be efficient tbf

    Not sure how you could at 1000...
    Seems like itd be a helluva fight..
    not saying it's impossible however it seems like you'd lose alot of valuable real estate to ventilation.. fans etc..
    If it was me I'd stick with 600

    I'm sticking with 600. The more I thought about it and the extra heat of a 1000 maybe to much for my setup.

    the 1000 is way less efficient 600 is perfect for your space
