Will a 0.5l jar hold an ounce?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Stash Box' started by Iopu, Aug 11, 2017.

  1. Buds, already cured and typically dense. The jar I have in particular is a kilner square cliptop. Any feedback from people who have kept an ounce in this particular jar or 0.5l sizes in general would be appreciated!

  2. Half a litre of water usually weighs 500gs so you could fit 500gs in the jar

  3. usually just under a full litre

  4. Thanks for your replies! I went all the way down today and picked up a 1l size just in case.

  6. The answer is yes. I have a 2 litre jar and there's just under 10g in there and barely fills it at all.[IMG]

  7. Yes do a simple google search it isn't the devils work...

  8. Ignorance at its best. Water has a density of 1g per cubic cm. If you think that's the case for weed, think again.

  14. Yes haha. From the looks of it you'd prob fit at least 2 - 3 ounces in the litre jar.

  15. Not always. Depends on the minerals in the water. Different locales have different mineral makeups.

  16. I really don't care.

What possesses you to post this when it provides no help to the thread?

  17. I don't think so. It depends on the density of the nugs and everything cause one nuggie that's super dense could way 1g but then you could get a bigger nuggie that weighs the same cause of less density.

Also are people really arguing over this XD

I should think it would provide help by qualifying your take on the weight of water, etc. ratio.
I know the weight of water varies from, e.g. western Colorado to eastern NC because my folks had to boil their Colorado water before they could drink it because it had much mineral(iron).
    Why isn't that ok?
