Will 2x 400w hps lights be enough for my 5x5 tent ??

    So its my first indoors grow ! The set up i aquired only had one 400w hps light so i considered adding anothers one .My question is will this be enough ???

    Not really

    if you need to do 1 run to get some light funds but ideally you would want lots more

    is it veg or flowering tent?

    I already have one 400w MH so i got an other one instead of the 1000w but their are air cooled with a fan and will exhaust outside I will also have another fan system to cool down the plant !!thanks for the info i will keep in touch !!

    I plan on doing veg then bloom in the same tent .the guy that sold me the tent gave me a 400w MH .I thought this wouldnt be enough so i went on and bought an other one . I only plan on putting 4 or 5 plants in the tent . But what would be an ideal wattage for 5 plants in a 5x5 ??

    You need to buy a led light

    it will make a worlds difference in your hvac setup.

    the extra heat is a tough chore to deal with

    That's the way i do it with air cooled hood and yes it works great. Never over 3 degrees higher than the outside room temp cooled by air conditioning. Air set air set at 70 and inside tent 73 the way you and I am doing this

    Ill be running 2x400w MH cooled with a 6inch inline fan with the air running through the light to cool them and ill add a 4 inch intake to get so fresh air from outside cause right now with one light whos only at 50 % th temp is already an issue . Cant imagine with 2 . They are only cooled by a the 4 inch fan right now as i didnt have the 6inch yet

    if u have the money for portable ac spend it on led lights instead... more yield and likely eliminate heat issues..
