Hi, if Iso Aalcohol is mixed with a 50/50 mixture of C-oil and organic coconut oil, can I evap the alcohol the same as normal? I've never evaped alcohol from a 50/50 mixture, I've only ever done it from pure C-oil during the extraction.

Is it safe to use the 50/50 oil mixture after evaping alcohol from it?

  2. No, not really. When you evaporate the alcohol it's going to leave the toxic residue behind in the coconut oil. When you use iso to make cannabis oil it should be purged first then it would be safe to add to the coconut oil. Isopropyl alcohol is toxic to humans. You may be able to use your oil without harm if it's not a lot but don't make a habit out of it. The more the toxins build up in your system the more likely you'll get sick.

  3. So the toxins will not evap from the coconut oil. OK.

What do you mean by the toxins should be purged first? Is that just letting the Iso Alc evap?

  4. There's mixed thoughts about whether the iso needs to be purged beyond total evaporation and I'm not a qwiso user so I've never delved into it other than general info. I guess it's really up to the user but if you use it in coconut oil or other form, definitely use the concentrate instead of the alcohol in a liquid state. That way you'll minimize any leftover residue. :)
