Wife wants to Flea Bomb?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Ehren, Aug 24, 2019.

  1. Has anyone ever used a flea bomb in your grow room? I’d hate to have to put the plant outside for 4 hours. It’s a Hot Shot fogger bomb.

  2. NO. I'll repeat. NO !!
    FUCK NO.
    HELL NO.
    NO FUCKING WAY.

Mine is concentrated to kief or hash and used for medical reasons. I damn sure don't need or want poisons in my meds. Ask your wife if she wants a big pie made with flea powder for her birthday??

I have to put up with the same shit from mine. I grow outside and she's wanting to fertilize or spray the lawn for ants or god knows what. I have a 10 foot rule. No closer then 10 feet and I stand between her and my plants to be very sure.

  4. Why on earth do you want to treat your grow room for fleas mate?
You know they only live on mammals eh?
Get rat fleas, dog fleas, cat fleas, rabbit fleas, but no such thing as a Plant flee.
The bug bomb will also most likely kill any cats, dogs or any other creature unfortunate enough to breath it in so be careful :)

  5. They wont kill cats and dogs unless you're just a really shitty owner that traps the animal in why the bombs are going off.

  6. I have a 48”x48”x80 grow tent she wants to bomb all rooms in the house. Our room is isolated upstairs. I talked her out of bombing our room but will the rooms downstairs affect what I have growing upstairs?

  7. We have 3 cats who do

  8. Pest controller to trade mate and if you read the "statutory notice" on the box, which is a legal requirement before use, you'll see that it contains tetramethrin and cyphermethrin. Both of which are synthetic pyrethroids that are EXTREMELY dangerous to any animal. Particularly cats and aquatics.

  9. Cats and other animals will Not be exposed to the fog! They’ll be outta the house when used.

  10. Don't spray the cats!
Pretty much every pesticide has a warning on the back somewhere near the bottom that tells you it will kill your furry friends. Kills them almost as fast as the bugs. Be 100% sure you know what you're doing before using that with cats there.
Also, my last comment about the permethrins was slightly incorrect. That was the bug bomb version I looked at.
You've got the flea/bedbug version. That shit will kill a horse and its also very flammable.
That one tells you to turn off all electrics and vacate the property when you use it incase the place explodes.

Don't take those warnings lightly, read the instructions and all other text thoroughly before using it.
Honestly mate I've seen waaay too many pets die from careless pesticide use.

  11. diatomaceous earth will crack their little shells open so they die of dehydration. Safe for animals. Try not to breath it in when you dust your animals and sprinkle it around. Safe for the earth and plants.

  12. Yep and if you allow the time needed for the house to clear out and follow the instructions and precautions, it will be fine. Seen lots of people do it....zero dead pets

  13. Cedar oil works great too against insects as well and it doesn't harm you, pets or your plants. We use it for black widows here in the southwest

  14. You usually don't get dead pets from this kind of thing. You usually get pets (and people) that start developing tumors years later from the chemical residue. These kind of chemicals have no place on this planet when we have things that work and are not destructive.

#1 rule . always listen to your wife . that flea bomb needs to go off . or the wife is worse then the fleas .
what i would do . is it possible to cover the plant with a large trash bag ? and zip the tent up tight . put that bomb going wait 4 hours your good to go . wife is happy you get to treat your self with some nookie later for the reward hard work pays off .
and for the health nuts out there organic freaks . there is no need to no longer worry about organic and all that . were being bombarded with radiation from russia stupidity . news reported 2 explosions its in accurate its really 4 explosions . there working on tactical nukes . we already have them in the usa . russia has there mind set on trying to make them . so in the us the rain will contain radiation . suggest try not being out in it for the a few months . it might be high enough to cause issues later in life. do not ask me my opinion about the comment called god of chaos asteroid . if you knew about it there is zero reason to worry about the radiation from russia lol.

One in three most likely get cancer due to synthetic chemicals which bug bombs fall in to.

  20. DE diatomaceous earth will kill the fuck out of fleas and is harmless to people, pets, birds, and fish. Only use the food grade which comes from fresh water sources. I get mine from chewy
