My local head shop has one of these instock, and I am in love with it. I would have picked it up yesterday, however I have one dilemma with it. Its prices at 125, but he said I could take it for 100 There is a downstem inbetween all the tree arms. The down stem is open ended, and I am afraid that this defeats the purpose of the percolators. I could be wrong but doesnt the smoke travel along the path of least resitance? I questioned the owned of the shop about this and we filled it with water and pulled. it looks like some bubbles to come out the slits, but also a large percentage just goes straight out the bottom. Is this a functional percolated bubbler, or is it more of a show piece? The quality is top notch. I leave this city in a few hours, So quick replies are greatly appreciated.
The path of least resistance is the slits on the arms... they're higher up than the middle stem. The purpose of the middle stem is to make it easier to pull once you've miked it and pulled the slide. Most high end percs are made this way. Go buy the piece. I've hit a couple of the Wicked Sands/Luke Wilson 10 arm micros and they're great pieces. Good price point too.
id grab that in a heartbeat for 100$. I wish i could get something like that around here for 100$. That piece would probably go for at least 3x that in any of my local headshops
