Wicked chest pains After smoking weed

Discussion in 'Smoke Reports' started by Carlz77, Dec 9, 2017.

  1. I’m 21 and I’ve been smoking since I was 18. So April of 2016 I got bronchitis for the first time. Not knowing how bad it was I continued to smoke weed. I was sick for about a month and I coughed and coughed the whole time. About a week after all my symptoms went away I started to get some left sided chest pains. None on the right. Went to the dr, he did and X-ray and determined my left lung was hyper inflamed, which made sense because my chest was super tight after I got over being sick. He told me to do yoga and sent me home. I went back a month later and he gave me an Advair inhaler. Worked great. I thought the pain would stay gone. I continued to smoke and the pains never went away except for when I wasn’t high. I gave up smoking for 6 months and tried a vaporizer. It worked great the first time and I didn’t have any pains! Then the next time the pain started again but much more intense. It’s been almost 2 years now and I have chest pain now more than ever, except now it’s a lot different than it was. My chest and back gets SUPER tight on the left side about 10 minutes after I’ve smoked weed. To the point where I don’t feel like I can breathe on the left side, my heart beat goes crazy, My back feels like it needs cracked because everything is so tight, there’s a dull ache in my left armpit, my left boob is SUPER sensitive so I can’t wear a regular bra, and I can’t go without a bra because of how sensitive it is to cold, and clothing Rubbing on it. I have a burning pain on the right side of my back that doesn’t allow me to wear a regular bra because it rubs right on it. I wake up in the mornings and my diaphragm aches every time I fill my lungs up. If I push on my chest when I’m having the pain my whole back cracks, but in my chest area it feels SO WEIRD when I’m pressing on it and weirdly enough the pressure of pushing on my chest makes me have this weird urge to burp, but it doesn’t feel like it’s comig from my stomach. My boob itself aches and hurts like my armpit. My muscles ache 10 minutes after I’ve smoked, my chest gets SO tight and freaks me out. I’ve been to the doctor 5+ times. Seen 3 different doctors, tried 4 different medicines including nerve pain relievers and muscle relaxers, I’ve had blood work, X-rays, an MRI, and nothing was found. I was referred to a pain specialist a month ago He said he has no idea what’s wrong with me and referred me to a physical therapist. She doesn’t know what’s wrong with me either but she’s hopeful she can help. As I lay here and type this my left armpit is aching so bad and so is my boob, and I haven’t smoked today. I’m literally going crazy because no one knows what’s wrong with me. The higher I get the worse the pain is, and as the high falls the pain calms down but never fully goes away. I’ve done research and tried to find anything that makes sense but I’ve found nothing. I’ve read a lot about how marijuana is supposed to open up the lungs and help you breathe bettter but it feels like it does the exact opposite for me. Like my lung is reacting negatively to the smoke and makes it swell and presses on everything around it, that’s the best way to describe how it feels. The pain doesn’t start after the first inhale, it starts when I’m stoned. They said my lungs are fine and cleared everything with that, so nothing makes sense. I’m going crazy and I’m to the point now where my only option is to stop smoking and hope it goes away. I love smoking, but I can’t enjoy it when I’m in chronic pain because of it, and I’m only 21. HELP.

  3. I have and still have the problems but thanks

  4. Try eating cannabis it'll probably heal your chest. Sorry tho I'm no doctor.... Haha

A week ago I had bad pains in my right lung for two days every time I breathed all the way in. It went away. But man it's no joke, smoking isn't good for you.

  5. Thank you! So listen to this, I got some edible candies from Michigan, I was super baked, and it still kind of affected my chest pain, not as bad but definitely did. I know sometimes when you’re high your senses could be affected, so I was thinking that could be what was happening with the edibles. It’s just so weird. It’s like my body is having an allergic reaction or something.

  6. Mm if your allergic, take a pin or something just to scrape your arm just so the top layer is compromised, not enough to bleed or hurt even lol...

Then rub weed on the spot.

If it puffs up after 10 minutes like hives, swelling then your allergic, and put some benedryl on your arm to help..

That's how they do allergy tests they make a bunch of dots on your arm and make little pricks on each dot with a sewing needle and apply a diluted solution of the allergen.

If your still scared, unsure. Go talk to another doctor and tell them everything, they've heard it all before haha don't worry

  7. Thank you I’ll definelty give that a try. Sometimes the pain is bearable but I just hate not knowing what’s going on in the inside, because it’s obviously something if it hurts the way it does. If they haven’t found anything on all the tests they’ve done I’m scared they never will

  8. I got bronchitis... aint nobody got time foe dat!!

  9. I had the same problem. It turned out to be muscels in my back spasming and causing the whole left side of my chest to lock up. I was thinking it was my lung then my heart an so on. Ended up in hospital and they told me it was my back which made no sense to me until i tried going to tge chiropracter, i went for 2 months and now im better than ever.

Worth checking out as a sulution

  10. Yes!!! I’ve been in physical therapy for 2 months now and that’s part of my problem as well! My therapist said my rib cage was widened when I had an inflamed lung after bronchitis, from it being so large it widened my rib cage which sent all my muscles out of whack, which is why when I smoke I feel the pain so much more. It’s gotten better thank the lord because I also thought it was my heart or lung!!! Feels good to be on the upside of things!
