I am going to try and root some clones in 50/50 sphagnum moss pro mix. want to try a wick system. main concerns include amount of nutrients how many wicks. 6 plants in a 2 square foot tub sitting on a large rubbermade container. nutes: 5-1-1 and 2-4-.5 fish emulsions. any ideas on either?
I did an experiment with hydro using capillary mat, it kept them watered no problem, but the nutrients didn't travel well, lost the photos, but the plant that was nearest the res did well, but they got sicker and sicker the further away they were, with more deficiencies. So I'd say keep the plants close to the res, or use a good soil mix and use the wicks for watering?
