Wich type of lighting do you think is better for my seedlings?

    Fluorescent 250watt 4 inches away from the plants or hps 250watt three and a half feet away from the plants do you think hps will fry them to death?

    As long as heat is under control hps wont fry seedlings unless you have a ton of light. If your going to put a 250w over three feet away you might as well go with floros. You want to keep a 250 much closer if possible.

    A 500 watt floro setup be great for seedling right?

    How many seedling are you starting, and what bulb configuration are you using to get 500w?

    In my personal opinion, running more than 250w of floros is just a waste of electricity. It isn't that hard to cool a hid lamp and you have much better light output per watt.

    Its true ill stick with 250 watt fluro its only nine babys
