wich is better?

  1. wich is better indoor or outdoor grow? I see indoors it only takes 3-4 months to grow a full budded plant, and outdoors it takes what, 6 months? over all in the end wich produces more bud? so if u took clones and one outdoors, one indoors wich would be more productive? Ive had pple be like homegrown is always better and have pple say organic all the way.

  2. No such thing as "better". Whatever best meets your circumstances, skill, comfort level, etc.

  3. but if both were at same skill/comfort bla bla bla, same amount of care etc all 100% even one has to be producing more bud in the end than the other.

  4. Assuming all other things are equal, there's no better growlight than the sun.

Sadly, all other things are not equal, so it's an impossible comparison.

  5. well if theyre is no better growlight than sun, why don't pple have skylights installed in theyr house for growing instead of a light that can't compare?

  6. Because as the sun moves across the sky during the day, you would have to reposition the plant so it's always in the small patch of light that the skylight lets in.
Or, you could have a really big skylight. Like a greenhouse.

See how seriously I answered that question?

  7. Actually, if all things are the same, Indoors will out-produce outdoors, in quality, quantity and time. The reason this is so is that you can control the entire environment indoors and can make it nearly perfect, outdoors will never be close to perfect no matter where on good ol' earth you are. Further the sun at or near the equator is actually to bright for the plants and part of the day is lost to growing as the plant shuts down.

Finally you only can grow during the summer if your using the sun for lighting.

  8. lol thats not true considering Ive seen a plant grown during winter on a window sill, also the best weed I have smoked was outdoor grown, then next to that was some hydro I had a few months back.

  9. It's that final sentence that's the clincher for me. However, if you're controlling the indoor environment to be perfect, then not all things are the same. ;)

Anyway, judging by the OPs last response, I reckon that we're both wasting our time in this thread. He obviously knows far more than you or I.

  10. Outdoor usually is cheaper -- no electric bills, cabs to build, lights to buy, etc.

But, you have to contend with a whole slew of varmint problems that you don't with indoor -- deer, rabbits, etc. And you are susceptible to problems from weather extremes outdoors -- too hot, too cold, drought, cloud cover, etc.

All things being equal (which they're not) it is harder to control stealth outdoors -- people can see you schlepping into the woods with tools and watering cans. And even if you don't get caught all that hauling is a major hassle.

As you can see, there is even debate as to which will yield more if you maximize each. Ultimately you have to weigh the pro's and con's of each approach for yourself and consider your particular circumstances then do what works best for you.
