Why my seedlings like to try die

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by rehclipdog69, Oct 7, 2021.

  1. My indoor plants always seem to start looking unhappy! So... I tried to grow indoors a couple months back. I posted on here with some pics as to what was wrong with them, and I was told they were overwatered. They looked as if they were gonna die so I just put them in the dirt out the back, and to my surprised, left untouched, they are absolutely charging! Which is cool. Now I was keen to have another go in the tent so changed a few things. I used solo cups instead of the larger pots to reduce overwatering, started watering real infrequently about every 4-5 days as opposed to my previous 2nd daily. ensured they had adequate drainage In the bottom of the cups. Temps are warming up where I am so tent is constantly around 18-24deg, with humidity fluctuating about 35-55% (tent is in a shed out back so humidity not controlled as well as a tent would be inside the house). They were looking good, until the last few days, I’ve somehow f***ed them again! Can someone please tell my what I’m doing wrong? Ill attach some pics of them. Or I’d welcome anyone else’s method of indoor growing, as this doesn’t seem to be working. Thanks!!

  2. That looks like early stage nitrogen deficiency. Might be you need to add a bit more nitrogen.

  3. I would like to chime in and say to not be so quick to give up. The worst thing that can happen is you lose a plant, however it is unequaled as a teacher. Every step is a learning step.
On your plant situation, here’s a suggestion, any problem that isn’t bug related, flush the root zone thoroughly. 50% runoff, now feed the plant appropriately at about 1/2 strength on the nutrients.
What were you using for growing medium in the containers? What do you feed with?
A good thing to remember about watering container plants, pick it up. You can tell how thirsty they are by how little they weigh. Lift every one every day and you will figure out watering really easily.

  4. What media?

  5. thanks for the support man, not keen to give up just humoured and a bit put off by their constant demise when the plants thrown carelessly into the dirt in the garden take off haha. I don’t believe it’s bug related from my limited knowledge. They’re in soil (terra professional) mixed with some perlite, I actually haven’t put any nutrients in this lot as I suspected nutrient burn when I used it on my last seedlings! Although at home here I have pH perfects grow micro bloom at my disposal. If I had to hazard a guess as to what I’ve done to these plants, is perhaps not water them enough due to my experience of overwatering. I then watered them (about 3 days ago) and They’ve continued to deteriorate. I think I’ll try I’m what you’ve suggested at least for a couple of the seedlings. Thankyou for your response!
