A friend of mine has 2 plants, the one on the left is Blue Berry and the one on the right is White widow. The BB started to flower, the buds started to fatten up then it just started to grow or strech or something. You can see it in the pictures. There is a fat bud then a 3" stem above it. Is this normal? Should it be topped again? Or should it just be left? The WW looks ok but it is very leafy and the buds don't look dense. Is this noraml. Both plants are about 5-6 weeks into flower. Any help would be great.
Sorry for the repeats, I'm terrible at using forums. I always click that button and then think of something I should have said. Anyways, it looks like your light is pretty close but not too close. My guess would be that you need to find a fertilizer higher in phosphorus and lower in nitrogen. They look healthy enough though. Kinda hard to tell for sure with the HPS. It helps to turn it off and use your flash when taking pictures. Colors can clue you into alot of different problems and more importantly, the experts around here. N for growth, P for flowers.
The light is about 20" from the plants. it is a 400 w HPS. I will take more pictures tomorrow when I go over. I will take them with the light off. The nutes he is using is Pure Blend Pro Bloom, Liquid Karma, SILICA BLAST, and a touch of epson salt. Thanks for your help.
and lower your light to about 12-16".........and check the temp of it, on the back of your hand just above the top cola........if it feels sore it's too close..........Peace out..........Sid
My friend had put a space heater in the room about 2 weeks ago. When it is on it lights the room up red. I am thinking this caused the plant to reveg. He has removed it. With that said. What should be done now. Should the new growth be cut off or just left. And are all the leafs on the WW caused by the revegging or is WW like that? And what will reveging then reverting back to flower again going to do with the end product? Thanks for all you help.
it looks like there are one fingered leaves. usually if there are one or three fingered leaves the plant has gone into shock somehow. I really didn't read everything...just looked at the picks, but its gone into shock from something. AT LEAST ITS NOT DEAD!!!! Take care of your baby. Budding plants like high intensity of light. The Blueberry will start turning purple. If you got the DJ Short Blue, it's 56 days. Its delicious...just cut some down. I just pick nugs off as they get ripe, lower my light some, let the lower buds get fatty and do it all over again until its all gone. with 2 plants...i'd probably do that too. top buds will be finished before the lower ones because the get more light.
just keep budding as normal. the light from the heater probably did it. it is a great learning experience and more people should be weary of this in the winter months. I was planning on using a couple ceramic ones in my room, but if you look at the wattage, they're usually between 750 watts to 1500 watts. now that some shit. that's another light system and it would probably heat up your house more that a little heat.
Looks like someone changed the light cycle durning flowering, it start to reveg. Or. if you had any soft of incandecent light in there will also cause this, i read something about heater, if its a heater light, thats what did the stretching.
Thanks for the reply everybody. Great to know. My buddy took out the heater and replaced it with a ceramic one. Its been a few weeks now and looks like everything is back to normal. It was a big shock when I went over and had seen the mess they were in. POut a damper on our future party. Thanks again for the replys.
