I mean, moreso than in past years, it's almost like people are afraid that after the decade mark it'll become irrelevant. I know it's the media's fault, but it's been going on since last year.
The military industrial complex wants to have 9/11 fresh in everyone's memories so that when the war mongering politicians want to go to war with Iraq, Libya, Iran, etc., they can do so in the name of fighting terrorists and no one asks any questions. If anyone other than Ron Paul gets elected I would put money on it that the US will wage war in Iran within 1 year of the next presidency, whether it be under Obama or any of the other republicans.
I drove about 3.5 miles yesterday and saw 4 banners and signs for remember 911.. I'm not gonna forget it ffs, I sat there on the hill smoking a blunt with people watching the billows of smoke rising into the air off of the crumbling towers with the Howard Stern show (only NY radio that was really on at the time giving a play by play of the chaos) playing out of a parked car.. The Government really needs this propaganda right now I guess...
Fear is a powerful motivator. All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach. I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few. - Adolf Hitler
Because it has been the only terrorist attack in the world, because as we know America is the only country that matters
I do not know why the media is so focused on it, I guess because it's the 10th anniversary of one of the largest, if not the largest, terrorist attacks on any nation in history. I am planning on watching the History Channel's show on Tues. night about how we got bin laden, if it's any good I may actually sit through the whole thing.
Time seems to fly by and I'm here to get high, not to mesmerize the mourn for those who died. It has been 10 years, can we move on and get our freedom back?
The sensationalizing of 9/11 every year on the anniversary is a disgrace, but it's not the fault of the victims and those affected by the attack - this is our media at work. The best way to fight it is to boycott the programs.
Not a single year has gone by without at least three hours of that day being reserved for a complete replay of the basic footage. The media is milking the fact that they had cameras covering it. Or if you want to be sinister, maybe you can think the government needs us to relive it every year so we'll stay obedient and docile. i don't know and i don't really care. i do know that it ain't healthy.
9/11 ? Few thousand killed... Bloodlust that followed ? 100,000+ Iraqis and 10's of 1,000's of Afghans. I think Merika got more than even and should stfu about 9/11 now...
