I’ve got two plants (first few days of veg) sitting in Fox Farms Happy Frog. The leaves look lime green and (I think) they feel good, not bloated or papery. I think they’re a little droopy. Today is only the third watering and the plants have never been fed. I checked the run off today and it measured 924. Is it the nutrients that come pre loaded into that soil making it so high? Someone suggested it about time I start to fertilize, but I’m afraid to do that now that I see such a high ppm
Here it’s an hour after watering and tbh it looks worse. I had posted on here earlier this week and people said it was badly overwatered. Today the soil was dry down to at least an inch
Happy frog has a lot of added nutrient in it . I never measured it before or any soil. I would just add my nutrients into water normally ignoring the soil reading . If you concerned do a 50 percent less veg nutrients as directions say until the plant gets about 12 to 14 inches tall then hit them with 100 % strength .
sometimes the runoff reading is off because its all from the bottom for a true reading you have to run a gallon through her so i wqouldnt worry about ppms as as Whats the PH in and out?
Crazy low! And I’m not sure why. I’m fairly certain that happy frog comes pretty acidic because I did a slurry test and it was 5 point something
I did a gelato auto flower a while ago and had the same issue,ph was5.7, after a week of feeding at 6.8 she took off,I pulled a qp from her and then I switched to pro mix
That’s heartening news. I just read last night that it’s not recommended that you top autoflowers. Isn’t that going to lead to a much smaller yield?
Well, until last night I had been using distilled water like a big dummy. Last night I used tap water that I lowered to around 6.2
