Well, they (pornstars) say that they have control over it, and they can stop "it" whenever they want..
and they consider it as a safe real profession.

Now, if you ask me, I fail to see the difference.
I mean yeah many cosmetic differences there, but the concept is the same, I suppose.

 

It's not the same thing at all.

A prostitute sells sex as a business. A porn star operates within a business.

Porn stars are overseen by health agencies and boards, and each porn company has rules and regulations for health that each star must abide by.

Prostitutes don't.

You can turn a pornstar into a hooker just don't film it. And film a hooker and make her into a pornstar. The only difference weather or not you have a camera on you.

The scenario porn with the "look we just picked this girl up off the street just now to do some porn" is never actually the case.

Maybe small-name studios can get away with that shit under the "amateur" guise, but the actual government regulated companies would never be able to get away with.

 

But if brothels are permitted to operate and regulated, prostitutes can easily be held to all of those requirements as well.

Not at all. One doesn't generally call a brothel worker a "prostitute."

"Prostitute" conjures up one image in everybody's mind.
