Why Don't I feel Euphoric or Happy when I smoke anymore?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by weedlover2011, Sep 8, 2012.

  1. Hey guys, I've been blazing for over a year now and I've noticed that gradually over the last 3 months, whenever I smoke weed, I don't feel euphoric, I don't laugh at dumb stuff, it just seems to make me feel a tiny bit happy for 20 minutes if it's the first smoke of the day, then I just feel lazy, unmotivated and hazy for the next hour or so.

I use up about 2 grams a week smoking about 2 times a day so I don't think it's tolerance (although I have had 4 day tolerance breaks which didn't seem to do much).

I smoke good bud, I currently have some nice sour diesel which I have tried smoking out a bong, pipe, joint etc. I tried hash, smoking tobacco, taking 5-HTP, eating mangos, nothing seems to give me the high's I used to enjoy.

Is there anything else you guys can think of or suggest cos I really miss the feeling.

    Thanks!

I take 20mg Prozac if that might have any significance? :confused_2:

  2. there is a simple solution... T-break

  3. To be honest, you don't need to worry about improving the daily high, you just simply need to cut back a little. Try only smoking at night time, this helped me with my highs a lot. Just become preoccupied all day then when it's night you will feel more relaxed for smoking. Also, if you get the lazy and unmotivated just go to sleep and use it to that advantage. If I spend my whole day skating with friends having a good time, then come home tired, the high is very euphoric and relaxing. I also smoke every day, so try to find something fun to do without being high for the daytime. Preferably something athletic, which would keep you more preoccupied than most things.

  4. Yea I would take a T-Break it works wonders I actually came back from a 2 week break and I got pretty stoned from 2 bowls very euphoric high if that helps

  5. Your tolerance builds up quickly when smoking. A few weeks of t-break wont do any difference if you've been smoking for years. How can you smoke twice a day every day and only use 2g a week? That's like 150mg of weed every sitting, which isn't exactly a feast :p In any case, I'd suggest taking a looong t-break, say 3 months+. I'd also suggest trying other more potent strains and maybe experiment with edibles and perhaps get a vaporizer if you've got the cash.

  6. Its called smoking everyday. Also the high seems worse to you because you're depressed at the fact your current highs aren't as good as the ones you had in the past. While your mood won't make you super stoned, if you have a good positive mindset for the high, it will be better. (Also anxiety will make you feel higher then you actually are).

Me, I'm on probation so I'm getting this problem solved for me. Plus I'm too depressed to enjoy smoking right now.

  7. i figure its just because you're used to it now.

  8. you just need to take a break from that perspective and be sober for awhile.when you come back it will be fun again

  9. Look for more Sativa strains.

  10. I've been having a similar problem, save for the fact that i only smoke on the weekends and i usually go through .5 to 1 gram in a sitting. With the strain Ive been buying, i used to get these super fucking amazing body highs to the point that the paresthesia was so strong, i couldn't really feel what i was touching (ie, plugging up my phone in the dark was almost impossible,) and my whole body felt like someone was pressing marbles against my skin, and the cerebral high was very psychedelic. Watching fractal videos with trippy music was next to mindblowing, and id always have tinnitus or hear music or something. Now, i barely get any of that. Just a slight body buzz, the munchies, and a taste for good music

  11. I had the same problem and tried a ton of things. I got into dabbing and started doing wake and bakes but every high made me feel bad and I guess the thing that shook me up a little was feeling uncomfortable sober. That's just something that did not sit well with me.

I'm on a t-break right now. Tried to take one a few months ago but caved after 24 hours. Tomorrow is day 3 and I'm starting to feel better. Day 2 felt the worst so far. The best way to describe it would be the feeling of wanting a cig but not as powerful and if you exercise and stay occupied, pretty easy to get over.

I'm not even sure how long this t-break will be but I'm certainly going to try to keep the tokin' to evenings only and rotate in regular t-breaks. Cannabis is a lot of things and healing is one of them but life is too short to be stoned 24/7.
