Whether you sing in a band, sketch, draw, paint why do you do what you do? Why do you feel the need to give something back? Have you always felt this way or did it take off when you started smoking?
Always felt some sort of drive to create man, tried to explore why multiple times but never understood it myself. One day...
I like to do it, I always crave creativity. It can be relaxing. I like to look at the stuff I make and hang it around my place. I like to make people happy by giving them pieces. And if I sell it, the money is always nice. I have always thought this way, my consumption of cannabis hasn't made a difference.
It gives me good feelings when I make it and it gives other people reactions whether they be the ones I wanted or not.
When I was in high school there was this art teacher. He has amazing skills and really helped me appreciate art. After one class I was convinced I had to take as many art class's possible, and had I not I wouldn't have had enough credits to graduate. Now I know teachers are supposed to motivate you being a student, but his opinions and critiquing had a great impact on my creations no matter the medium. So that's when it really took off for me. But I really like creating art and gifting it. When ever it's someones birthday I have started a habit to create something personalized. People seem to appreciate that more than spending money on them.
I create art and music to let out my emotions. If I'm happy, the art will reflect that. Same if I'm sad. I also do it just because it's fun! Seeing what you can get to come out of your head and onto a piece of paper or to come out of an amp is a great journey that is just great to be a part of.
Not sure I view it as giving back man, but more of a way to relax and release my inner child again, you know man? I feel one with the Crayon and release man.
Because I can, it's pretty much the only field which I have a talent for. And nothing is better than visualizing awesome things, and going through the process of laying it down on a surface.
I create music and my reason is that i love touching my guitar, it's like orgasm hearing the tones rabble through your fingers :]
