Why do we NEED a president?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by dannyszu, Mar 15, 2016.

  1. Really? Seems absurd to ask, but what does it do/imply to have the idea of ONE man/woman in charge?

Does our political system have to be one of hierarchy? What good does it do to vote someone in for 4/5 years, just so we can point the finger at him or applaud when, really, the decisions are not made by him.

The way of operating the economy, national security, and all other facets of a nation certainly have changed since 17-- or 1867 for Canadians. We are literally connected globally, we are literally all dependent on each other, to some degree. Isn't it time we stop looking at national interests and begin looking at global interests?

The democratic system isn't so democratic with money and greed surrounding it. We see this, we know this, it's obvious. Have you ever thought of a different approach to addressing global/national issues other than picking one charlatan for 5 years? Carrying on with your own life knowing your vote has no impact the moment you pick your candidate, that's democracy?

Everything changes. Surely the workings of government must as well. Please, no mention of US presidential candidates.

  6. In short, we don't.

With instant communication, why do we need representatives, we can all represent ourselves.

  7. I dont want a world government. More taxes, less freedoms.
Hey instead of trying to force that on the Americans why don't y'all focus your energy on the lawless countries that need a democratic system? Let the un tap into that.
    We don't need more government.

  8. That's absurd. How could a country possibly run efficiently without a president/monarch?

  9. We don't need a president. We need Kayne

  10. Eh, I'm sure we don't need them, but since they control the show, it's their rules.

Instead of complaining too much, I'm simply saving to move out of the country. Hopefully in the next 5 to 10 years.

  11. Where are you running away to?

The world is theirs, hit up spaceX

  18. Morale mascot.

Someones gotta get in front of the cameras.

Barry "If I had a son he would be that little hoodrat treyvon" Obama only stuck his head out to fan the flames and endorse criminals and divide us. Its gonna be real interesting to see President Trump rallying real Americans and the people who actually contribute. We are already seeing the massive change in the publics consciousness away from the despicable media narratives and their cult following back to real red blooded proud Americans. Donald is making so many generic anti American bigots lose the death grip they've had on us for the past fucking decade, and boy does it feel nice to breath after so many years of that.

HRC would just be more of the same generic sludge we got for the past 8 years, boring.
