I'm really confused as to why we do this.. I mean it makes no sense..

An ass is not allowed to be shown on television, why? Because we use our butts to poop? But everybody poops.. why are we shoving a completely normal and natural thing into the corner?

An entire boob being exposed is perfectly fine until a nipple is revealed, WHY?

I have nipples, you have nipples, my little niece, big brother, mother and grandpa all have nipples. We all know what nipples look like, they're apart of the natural human body. So why do we as a society censor these things?

*This is by no means pestering the GC mods by recently closing that wet t-shirt thread, they're all simply conforming to what is deemed acceptable and 'normal' in our current society.*

I'm just curious as to where along the lines people have made these things taboo and almost unnatural. I feel like if people could they would make belly buttons illegal just because people are dumb enough to allow it.

Does anyone else feel all of this is more or less censoring human nature. Turning us into creatures that we truly are not and making us ashamed of our beautifully designed bodies?

What gives, society? Why do we do this to ourselves? Are there good reasons behind it?

  2. what i don't get, is the rated MA shows that blur everything out, and bleep most curse words out? why even put a rating, when everything deemed to that rating is not being shown or said, doesn't make sence

  3. it might be because people feel sexually aroused when they see certain body parts and would
feel uncomfortable around other people if they happened to notice. it could be for curtious reasons

  4. Religious people feel as if seeing the human body naked will provoke sexual thoughts and thus lead them to hell.

It has been this way for a thousand years.

  5. Wait, that thread got closed?

    Fuck

  6. Would we get in trouble if we made a male nipple thread?

  7. What an epic thread. I can't believe that much nudity was allowed to just be randomly splattered on the boards for that long duration of time. Good game, fellows.

  8. Well they are right that it will make people think about sex, but they are wrong that thinking about sex is bad. I have sexual thoughts from seeing people make out on tv. So they haven't stopped it yet.

I also think nudity should be allowed on network television. There's nothing wrong with it.

  10. I should be able to proudly display my erections! Walk around naked with a massive stiffie, showing the world my manliness!

  11. Come to Australia..... its far worse than the US with censorship :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The government were planning to make a censorship filter for the internet to block porn and whatever shit, but anon attacked all the government websites and that seemed to stop the government..... I heard the US doing the same thing, but that didn't work..... censorship doesn't stop child porn, full stop.....

    :mad:Fuck the government

  12. I've thought that for a while now and it seems unhealthy to do all those things.

    Best be natural and comfortable.

  13. I agree with the boob thing. Boobs really don't turn me on... Sure they are nice to look at and play with, but they don't give me a stiffy. Show me some nice poon and that's a different story lol.

  14. It's beyond me. People are greatly offended by genitalia. I mean, if people are being trashy I get it.. but to censor a body part? To block out a certain word? I mean, it's a sound. A concept brought to existence by men only to brought to censorship by men.

    It's 2012.. People.. Censorship? Really?
