I know nuns are not aloud to get married or have sex and I'm sure its the same way with priests. So as an up bringing while they teach young boys to become priest and that they can't have sex, I'm sure there's a little grey area they tell them there aloud to blow/get blown from other priests. Hence horny old guys not aloud to have sex and having to spend to much time with super horny super gulible* teen boys. And I mean cum on who does like having sex with young boys?? Lol

They don't necessarily take advantage of little kids, they are just horny hypocritical bastards, the product of an inhuman lifestyle (the celibate oath, the concept of sins and repent, obsolete and ignorant system of morals, etc.) and their strict ingrained psychological mechanisms of sexual repression.

I know a woman who used to be a Catholic nun until her mid thirties, until she was struck by the hypocrisy of the church and forced herself to quit her dogmatic institution. She told me once, that lesbianism was common inside the convents where they lived. She even witnessed one time how a Mother superior was found in bed eating out a Sister. This woman lost her virginity at 34.

 

Anybody that abuses a child, sexually or otherwise, should be done away with...and I'll volunteer to do the deed.....

Actually, statistically, the percentage of priests who are pedophiles is less than the percentage of men in the general population who are pedophiles...which is still around 1-3% for the general population. Of course, even .00000000001% is still unacceptable in any population.

You just hear about it on the news because, hey, news channels know people are more outraged when someone who should know better does something than if it was just a normal dude.

Also, pedophilia (sex with a pre-pubescent minor) is very, very rare in the human population.
More common is ephebophilia (sex with a post-pubescent minor). Neither are "good", obviously, but distinctions do have to be made when we discuss these things.

Just a sensitive subject for me since I was present at an incident where nothing wrong happened, but a minor told her parents that something did which almost got a priest friend of mine's entire life ruined. Luckily other witnesses (including other minors) proved that this kid was just being a whiney brat. She was old enough to have heard about the issue and decided to use it to get back at said priest who called her out of class for never showing up to class on time.

This isn't to trivialize those actual cases of genuine sexual miscounduct where minors have been seriously wronged. They deserve justice. Just keep in mind that less than 2% of Catholic priests are pedos. It's wrong to assume every black person is a criminal because we always see mugshots of black dudes on the evening news disproportionally to stories of white folks getting arrested, and it is also wrong to assume a specific group of people (priests) are pedophiles because every now and then CNN decides to do a story on the lastest bastard caught and ignores the fact that other specific groups of people (like non-Catholic clergy, teachers, coaches, and scout leaders) are statistically as likely or more than likely to be guilty of sexual misconduct with a minor.

In short: It's considered a mental disorder...though some groups are pushing for it to be considered a sexual orientation, just as homosexuality was once considered a mental disorder, so that pedophiles can have their rights protected and not be discriminated against. Who knew?

Basically: anyone who molests a kid, regardless of what they are in life, does so for the same basic reasons...which are all explained in those links. There's nothing special about a pedophile priest, or a pedophile coach, or a pedophile step parent...they all do it for the same reason.
