HIGH All, Don't get me wrong I'm not ragging on someone or anyone who really wants to grow. We All know this thing called the internet right…well how come people can't find what they're looking for. I type in marijuana at google.com and I find over 3,740,000 results and type in Growing marijuana and find over 532,000 results…so trust me there are a couple of good reads…plus the numerous links we All have posted Doing pretty good for a few pussie's in me eh! (typing) I thrive on helping (as does every other mod or member) someone who wants to grow our sacred plant…yes we get O.F.F.F. on helping people…but the first thing is you must want to learn and the first thing...learn is to read. Everybody knows they learn something new everyday …what have you learned? Tell us. Plus All you new blades in the City who asked questions in the last year. I would like to know where your at and have you learned anything here at the City? Helping us may help us help others more.
First time i came here, i was one of the ones who did, and then ask about putting pee in the plant as fert..... Let see, at first i didnt knew much... Did what Sid told me, and read his guide. Got me understanding the marijuana basic growth stage, and what was needed too keep a MJ standing up str8, and Healthy..... Once plant was growing, and knowing the basics, i started to learn more... As the plant grow, the more i learn from it. Alot of stuff i didnt understand i did ask for help, even tho most off it was stupid quetions.. Guides, Haveing plants to observe, the search buttom, and the city help will get u far into growing Mj's....... I been thinking for a while now going hydro and see how it gose..... Ps...i only have a year and 21 days here.....
read all you can possiblly cram in there.... then read 5 times that much... then if your unsire about something... ask...
Yeah I've been here like 2 months and I've learned an assload. I find myself giving other newbies tips, some of them have been here longer than I. The great thing about the website is links...... links links links links links links links. You go to a page to try to learn something and what do you find, links. These links take you to pages with stuff you didn't think you even needed to learn on them. And what do thoose pages contain... more LINKS. Links in sigs, links in faq's, links in links for christ sakes. My first post here at the city was asking about the effect of black lights on my plants! Though then we didn't have as many grow guides posted all around. Still all it takes is a little time effort reading and experience to become a good grower. oh and use the search button.
heh, ive accualy been wondering if blacklights could have any affect on curing..... like let them dry under a blacklight.... im still thinkin that UV still isnt gonna do anything.... but i might be wrong.... next harvest ill set asid 2 popcorn buds... 1 under a blacklight, and the other not... both in the same size jars ..
Hi im learning every day thanks to you guys on here. i understand what your saying though unoit ive read so many threads that people are writing asking for more or less step by step grow info.why they dont read for them selves and get an idea of what there doing i dont now. keep up the good work guys laters jay
thanks for mentions blades, i have learned sooooo much since coming here from growers around the world, Unoit helped me out a lot, as did Woody, and Ndicabud, and mccurry, critter too.........i read a lot even now, like shorty said "follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road"..........why do i get a sudden urge to skip to that?........never seen it...................anyway............lol, back to topic....... i like helping people out, but like unoit said, it has to people willing to do a bit themselves, like when shade first came here, i could tell that he was willing to do the homework, and read.....read, and then read some more..........came a long way mate.......well done. but after years of doing it, you get what we call "grow mod burnout"........you answer soooooo many, and a lot of the same questions as you don't want some poor bugger to mess up there plants, but the info is eveywhere on the site, but you end up that you can't help anymore, and need a break, but the good thing now is we have a lot of good growers now, more than there ever has been, and we also have double the grow mods we used to............then theres help from experienced growers as well, like Thug, and Froggy to mention just 2.............thanks guys it means a lot to help out like you's do......... i like to think of grasscity as more of a community, overgrows o.k., but sometimes it just seems too big......... here's to all the grasscity growers, and blades who can now grow, due to the help from our growing sections, give yourself a pat on the back you's deserve it!........ well fist off, i got some seeds off my gf out of her tin.. i came here to see how to germinate them. That worked a treat Next, I had some tiny little plants and wondered what to feed em, so I came here, found out off the threads and fed em .. mmm they grew. Popped in to read up on the new posts .. and what do i see? sexing ur plants.. "wtf?? i'm not getting all smoochy with em .. nooo way ... oh .. right .. i need the females ? pah .. blokes useless as always eh ..ok" So i set about working out what was what. I used the pics people had posted to determine which sexes i had, shredded the males and dried em out slowly.. mmmmmm weak weed ... better than paying tho ;-) Again using the photos, i keep checking to see if the buds are ready to chop, they're not there yet, but they're coming along a treat. But now what do i find? not only have i to dry them when they're chopped, but i have to cure em too??? (shuffles back off to the thousands of links about curing) grrrr is it any wonder that dealers charge so bloody much? Now that my crop is underway and nearing harvest, i thought i'd start to post. speshly just thank you guys. OK-guy's I first came to this site with a search for medical marijuana. I'm a quadriplegic with a “Doctors recommendation for med. Marijuanaâ€. This site has been a gold mine of info, after my next grow I should bee self sufficient and not have to buy it anymore. My first grow was not very good not enough light flo's, next one was better (more light)and this one is great (I'm using HPS) I have a post under “what a problem†each grow is better than the last because of the help that I get here. Thanks for all of your help!!! Next maybe Hydro. that would be fun.
I've learned enough that I believe if i had the money I could grow some great bud from start to finish. I've learned enough that I've been teaching my friend a few new things and know the myths other of my friends have told me. I know what for sure a few things that dont work, and I know for sure some that do work. I know some common-logic guidelines that would be good to follow if i wanted to experiment with different aspects of the growing process. And lastly, I've learned how to find answers to most of my questions without having to ask someone!(i.e., google.com, Search Button, Grow Guide links)
