You see it everywhere, in movies, cartoons, books, theater, etc, and whenever a human is seen naked, it gets embarrassed and feels shame. Humans use clothes for many practical reasons such as protection from the elements but it also has a very anthropocentric reason, to hide our nakedness from the world. Other animals could care less if they go about their bussiness naked and they have no idea what is shame. I'm not trying to justify nudism, our natural state. I just want to know why people feel shame when they are naked.
I remember in one of my psych classes there was some sort of study where people were naked vs naked people with pockets. For some reason when people can put hands in their pockets it makes them feel more secure..even when completely naked.

Exactly. Wehave all grown up in societies in which clothing is considered mandatory, and nudity a taboo. Of course we have been led to feel ashamed. Plus most of us don't just walk around strangers naked, so being naked in front of a bunch of people wouldn't feel normal at all. Its just the culture we were born into.
I have excessive body hair that looks sorta nasty and some peoples bodies just arent attractive Id rather have ppl cover up tbh lol
Probably has to do with religion, since people believed it was sinful to go nude. Nowadays it's hard grained in us to stay clothed at all times.
And if you are one of those rare people who is not ashamed when you're naked, you can't even walk around naked on a 110 degree hot summers day without getting arrested
Pretty much the reason why I posted. I was in the Amazon jungle 6 months ago and I visited a tribe. They were very earth connected and real people. The women didn't use tops and their breasts were visible for all to see. The men used to skinny dip lol. They resembled Adam and Eve, in paradise, for real.

Second this, I'm a hairy fuck and the current social norm is to be hairless. Hairless people are seen as sexy, but I honestly couldn't care less as my girlfriend digs the hair, however walking around doing my daily activities naked may cause a sort of judgement.
