Why can't we have a pet thread?

  1. I'm not trying to be some rabble rouser and demand freedom of speech or something gay like that, i respect grasscity, what they do and how they keep it clean and safe for everyone.

I started a thread about pets getting high, i wasn't encouraging this kind of behavior.. just trying to start an active thread that could be discussed, i'm not angry that it was closed, i understand but why did everyone have to get so defensive, i would have liked to see some research done and thought provoking ideas and debates to come up.. not calling everyone a dumbass because they made a choice that they think is acceptable.

Don't battle the person.. Battle the argument

What i'm seeing is.. most people think that getting your pets high is inhumane and cruel because the dog really has no choice in it and no concept of it. But doesn't that apply to just about anything your pet does?

  2. Yes, it does. And you should get your dog high. Dog's aren't as stupid as you think. If he/she really doesn't like it... they well get the fuck out of there. If they like it they will stay. Unless of course your dog is very well trained and you tell him to stay. That's your personal shit you have to deal with.

  3. i enoy getting my dog high and i dont' really give a shit if it's inhumane.... my dog isnt' going to die and my dog still wags his tail when he sees me.

  4. The thread that you are talking about was closed by me mostly for the immature bickering that surfaced later into it. However, the subject has been brought up by others that Grasscity doesn't need to encourage the abuse of animals. Now, what they mean by abuse pertains to holding pets down and forcing smoke into them, smoking up an animal that's in a cage, etc...

If a cat or dog (or whatever) likes to catch a contact high, then that's cool...talk about it as much as you want. However, the threads, from here on out, that deal with animals having this forced on them won't float.

You're thread wasn't about abusing pets. It was just the thread that got caught in the middle of a bigger issue.

  5. lets give a round of applause for our wonderful staff giving such good explainations. ! GO STAFF! :smoking:. I need another bowl of this shit...

  6. My view on smoking up pets is, take a hit from a bong or bowl blow it in their face gently and let them decide to breath it in or not.

Ive seen people blow hits from joints and blunts into dogs ears and I really hate that, that burnt paper and bluntwrap goes right in its not good for the animal, unless its just a myth, the blowing in the ear works cause it goes straight to the brain. Not only is the paper/tabbacco smoke harsh, going right to the brain can't be healthy.

  7. i'm not really trying to find out who gets their pets high with this thread, you know.. what i'm really trying to open is a debate.. is it inhumane? should you put your pets in far distance when you are smoking?

  8. I don't think you need to put them away when you're smoking or anything if the animal doesn't like it then he will leave. ex. my cat hates it and leaves when i hit the bong lol. my dog likes it however we have 2 mice in the room but i dunno about them i never blew smoke at them nor do i know what they could really do to get away from it since its a small cage so that would be kind of inhumane but i say if the animal enjoys it go with it and if it wants to leave the room let it out of the damn room.

  9. hahaha

    so funny.

  10. My dog doesn't like it when I blow smoke in his face, so I do what any dog owner has to do. I beat him until he can't run away, then I smoke him up.

On a serious note, I agree with the above posts, if the pet doesn't like it let it leave. If it does like it then smoke that pooch up.

  11. Ha u make me laugh ^^^ I smoke my doggy up alot now, cause she comes runnen to the sound of lighters. I smoked my hampster up once, and she sat up and sniffes the air when i oper her cage now.

  12. I always have to get out of my seat and open the bedroom door so my golden retreiver can join us in our little cricle. Everyday. She just knows. Maybe 5 minutes into the session I hear a little yelp from outside my door. None of us give shotguns to my dog, but we do blow the smoke in that general direction and the dog seems to be unnopposed.
