Why can't I burry a seed in the ground and let nature grow it. It would get watered occasionally too~
you can, but there's a whole market based on making you believe that you need to buy their magic beans. have you ever been to GNC? thousands of vitamins. do you need any of them? nope. and yet the stores exist. Exhibit A: you need to germinate a seed. a laughable exercise, but you'll find people on here who swear you cant grow a seed without a paper towel.
Thats not always the case some people do need them, why because their diets are full of fat and cholesterol junk food, so they lack the nutrients that the body actually needs, your body might not show it.. but why do you think old people live so old because they eat mcdonalds everyday?
there is so much wrong with that i don't even know where to begin. so eat mikey d's but go to gnc and buy anti fat and cholesterol pills? how about just not eating mickey ds? you missed the point completely. but, w/e, go spend your money in the MJ GNC. to the op, if you can do an outdoor grow, just put the seed in the ground. it's one of the great evolutionary species propagation tools. just about idiot proof.
If you want a half ass plant and don't care about production sure just plant it in the ground. Odds are it will live, and grow for at least a little while. Properly preparing the area will give much better results. If you are lucky enough to have good soil then you may not need to do much. However, depending on location you may need to do anything from ammending the soil to just replacing it. It is true evolution has made Mj plants quite hardy, but they aren't super plants and will not thrive under the wrong conditions. Just tossing seeds out and hoping isn't the best way to grow.
All in one can ^^^^^^ 100% Right ! and what the balde below me vvvvvvvvvvv just said too. I agree 100% !
You can throw 100 seeds on the ground and get something to germinate. The whole point of gardening is to care for the plants, giving them the best chance of survival so they can flourish. All MJ wants to do is survive to produce seeds, and as long as it's environmental conditions allow for sustainable seed production then the environment is suitable for the plant's needs. Most growers aren't trying to produce seeds though, and the bare minimum environmental conditions that allow for a self-sustaining population are simply inadequate for our purposes of growing top-shelf sensimilla. Do you want your plant to just survive or do you want it to flourish? You can plant a seed wherever you want, however you want. The challenge is providing the plant with the best possible conditions.
