Why can't I get high?

  1. Even when I consume marijuana with high TCH I cannot get a euphoric feeling. It does make me feel slightly dizzy and craving snacks, but I don't get that good feeling I'm supposed to be getting...
     
  2. If you are eating an average American diet, it could be a damaged endocannabinoid system! The American diet is made for two things, taste and profits, not nutrition!

    One of the things we are low in is Omega 3, and we are "overdosed" on Omega 6. Omega 3 is anti-inflammatory and Omega 6 is pro-inflammatory, but both are needed in the right proportions for a healthy body. The way we get most of our Omegas is in our cooking oils. Unfortunately, most of our cooking oils are very high in Omega 6 and lack Omega 3. We need about a 4 parts Omega 6 to every 1 part Omega 3 for optimal health. Some Americans are at a 50 to 1 ratio which really puts their bodies out of balance!

    Why is this important to getting high? Because you can't make the CB1 receptors that cannabis uses to get you high, without a little Omega 3! :eek2:

    The earliest study I’ve found on this is “Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions.” Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions - PubMed (2011) Here’s the key sentence- “In n-3-deficient mice, presynaptic cannabinoid CB(1) receptors (CB(1)Rs) normally responding to endocannabinoids were uncoupled from their effector G(i/o) proteins.” (n-3 = Omega 3). (PubMed - 2011).

    So the CB1 receptors don't get hooked up right without some Omega 3 and you don't get your best "high"! Defective receptors can't get you high (or heal you). This damage to the endocannabinoid system can have unexpected results in the future! (FYI- pathogenesis = the start and progress of a disease)

    This can affect how you age and your quality of life in later years! Most folks say I look a good decade younger than my 73 years, and I can still bend over and put my hands flat on the ground! (See Higher Profile: Granny Storm Crow, Grass Roots Advocate for a photo of me taken in 2020)

    Studies have shown that omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are associated with brain, cardiovascular, and immune function, as well as physical performance and bone health in older adults…..     Sadly, Omega 3 is not a "quick fix". It takes around a month or so of taking Omega 3 to give your body a chance to replace all those billions of broken CB1 receptors all through your body and brain to get a noticeable effect.

    Eating wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef, flax seed and hemp seed are the best ways to get your Omega 3. Omega 3 supplements (fish or flax seed oil) are 2nd best, but helpful since most of the cooking oils are Omega 6 oils. (I take 2 to 4 grams of Omega 3 every day depending on my diet that day.)

    Now as to edibles in general. Eat something fatty (chocolate, a cheap burger and fries, etc) about 45 minutes before you take your edible. If you are using gummies have a hot drink with them. And are you taking enough for your tolerance level? 5 mg is the beginner's dose, but I don't feel much unless I am eating 25 mg or more.

  3. Have you been smoking a lot lately? it might be time for a T-break. I took a 30 day break and then when i smoked again...ooooooooooooooooh boy it felt like the first time (ok not really but it was a lot stronger :O)
