Why are racists proud of themselves?

Discussion in 'General' started by Perking_Duck, Jun 22, 2013.

  1. Why do they post embarrassing comments on social media or comment section on news articles?

And is it just me, or is the technology actually helping racists across the country and world to create a community per se?

And how come they always say the same thing and can't be creative?

    Things like :

I have black/minority friend. (awesome, that makes u a scholar on their race and history)

The blacks were sold by blacks to the whites in the slave trade (great, so people buying kids from their evil parents for sex trade aren't in the wrong, just their parents are).

Look at the statistics of them in jail/poverty (you don't understand the Narratives of Justice and Equality in Multicultural America, that's fine. But would you be okay with an Asian American saying whites are inferior cause Asian Americans have on average a higher education level, higher income, lower crime rates?)

I should be able to say the N word cause of first amendment (true, first amendment protects u from going to jail for using the word. But other than that, it's not consequence free, especially when someone gets fired at their work, please don't use that 1st amendment bullshit).

Again, I understand ur right to be racist.
    But why broadcast it?

That's the rant for the night.

  2. You have a bad day man? Just ignore them like the rest of society.

  3. They broadcast it cause they can, well at least in "merica". We don't have to agree with it, just agree with the right they have to say it.

  4. Because they are slower than normal folk

  5. Because they think they are right.. just like religious people etc..

  6. cause they got the power... the white power

  7. You forgot, "White people in America actually have it worse off than black people nowadays."

    Word? Oh, okay.

  8. From ignorance, they feel they have the right to feel proud of their race, as if race has anything to do with the accomplishments they're proud of.

  9. God im sick of white people being the target "racists". it exists in all races and cultures

However, when people in America discuss this topic, they're general frame point is events happening in this country. Which, predominantly due to population being predominant, it's white people. We know it exists in every culture, we're just discussing it from our culture. Has nothing to do with an attack on white people, which I assume you feel like

I know this is not an American forum, but I would be willing to bet that they're a pretty large percentage of the active users.

  12. Because they're ignorant fucks.

  13. Meh, freedom of speech. It's annoying, yeah, and the human race should grow past racism, but it has been a part of us since our very beginning and ridding it is going to take a while.

Ignore it. Hold yourself to a higher standard and let everybody else dictate how they want to live their lives.

  14. Agreed, until racism actually has a direct impact on day-to-day stuff, such as

Racism exists when prejudice+power combine to form social constructs, legislation and widespread media bias that contribute to the oppression of the rights and liberties of a group of people. Racism is systemic, institutional, and far reaching. It is the prevalence of racism within social structures and institutional norms, along with implicit and explicit enforcement by members of a group, that allows racism to run rampant and unchecked. So maybe when whites aren't the predominant race group in this country in a few decades, it might actually happen. Meanwhile, lay back. It's alright, cause ur white. 16. I hate to say it but I'm glad that there is actually modern day evidence of discrimination. It's almost like I've been told that its all in my head. That we've come so far and that we all have the same opportunities so we must be equal.

Then if I bring it up, Im told that i have some sort of hatred towards white people when really, I just want for the truth to be acknowledged and fixed.

I'm tired of bring told to "Get over it." Ignoring facts does nothing.

  17. You guys heard that slogan from those White babbit punks?
Anti racist is a code word for anti white?

I wish these people could have what they want on another planet or something, it's clear they have a problem with seeing all humans as the same regardless of colour, tradition, religion or culture. Its there fear that guides them, they think that there cultures are going to be destroyed by other cultures. Anyone that feels like that should be put in a mental asylum.

In the moment you fear, It has already come to pass ... if that makes sense for anyone.

  18. Lol "reverse racism." Racism is racism, whether it's from the mouth of a white dude, a black woman, an Asian kid or anybody else. Calling it "reverse racism" is racism in and of itself. It's separatist.

Yes, we should battle against racism when we see it impeding progress, or holding a person back unjustly. Bitching about some dude posting a racist comment online is asinine.

When we start trying to legislate morality, and control what people can think, we have a problem. There is no such thing as thoughtcrime, despite the fact that many wish there was. Worry about yourself, until you see an act of injustice. Some anonymous person ranting on the Internet is not an act of injustice.

Oh well, our opinions differ But I cannot agree with the last sentence. Kids are online at a younger age than ever, to say racist rants does no harm or will have no influence is naive at best. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/05/18/doll.study.parents/index.htmlEveryone has heard about the colored doll tests conducted with kids. 75% of white kids in kindergarten has never discussed race in the family. 75% of black kids in kindergarten has indeed discussed race in the family. And yet, black and white girls picked the white doll as the prettier, smarter one. And racism aside, think about the low self esteem a black girl has/will have looking in the mirror comparing to what the society's definition of beauty or intelligence is... How heart breaking. So obviously, it doesn't matter what you teach at home. It's just one of many, many sources kids get their perception from. So I do not think it's okay to give a platform (such as twitter or YouTube comment sections) a pass, and just passing them off as trolls / no big deal. The oh-well-just-ignore-it strategy just ain't working. Sent from my HTC One X using Grasscity Forum mobile app
