they dont even want marijuana dispensaries even for medical use let alone allow adult recreational users to buy their marijuana in a store. Why is that so bad about me being able to buy marijuana at a store and use it at home? Are are they so biased against that but are ok with bars, liquor stores where people get drunk and gas stations selling cancer sticks? How come no one is trying to shut that down?
I believe it's because those things are legal. And alot of people Enjoy them to much To ever want to lose them.
It's got to be one of two things. 1) They're simply ignorant. 2) They're getting paid to act ignorant.
its simple people are just really, REALLY brain washed
Seriously true!
First off, welcome to Grasscity! I would have to say most people are okay with liquor because they grow up around it.
Why is terrorism illegal, but not for large armies? Why is having sex for money illegal, but not if you videotape and distribute it? Why is stealing illegal, but not if you're the Government? Cause 'Murrica, that's why.
The same reason people believe there is an invicible man in the sky that watches everything you do, but ridicule the idea that we might not be the only intelligent lifeform in the universe. Brainwashed sheep.
I hate liquor stores.. worst parking lot to drive past on a bicycle, billybob picking up some budweiser nearly ran me over backing up his pickup numerous times =/
Perhaps everyone would be far more educated in this thread if they understood who "they" is, and the only motivation "they" care about. In this case, "they" refers to Big Tobacco, Big Alcohol, and Big Pharma. And "they" all have one thing in common, and it's the same thing that "they" were trying to protect long ago; their profits. THAT is the only reason it became illegal, and is the only reason it is still illegal today. (Yes, I have meddled a bit with the idea that is it not deadly enough to be legal, but that's an entirely different discussion and one a bit farther down on the moral ladder than most would care to believe or discuss.)
Becuase they are brainwahsed by society, and its acceptance of certain things and its disownment of certain things.
It's childish reasoning that mainstream society would never steer them wrong. They have no other choice because they instinctively co-opted a mass produced existence and function as soon as they could. Now they are afraid of anything that may exist outside their pre-packaged mental box because of decades of engineered indoctrination and conditioning.
I think because marijuana has some sorta stigma attached to it. I personally never associated anything bad with marijuana ever, I assumed others felt the same as I did... I always thought that everybody felt weed wasn't anything that serious kinda like when you see someone smoking a cigarette or discover someones gay. But I'm beginning to realize a lot of people look down on people who use bud. I think once ignorance is dealt with, legalization could become a real thing among all states. Plus people fear change, and to legalize an illegal drug is a big change
