Why are people on this site called "blades?"

Cause we're all gangbangers here.

Grass is a slang term for cannabis, this site is called Grasscity. We all make up the city, each individual 'blade' of grass.

The first time someone called me 'blade', I googled it and the research came up as

blade = gay.

I immediately messeged back to the person,

"Why did you call me a blade?"

as in

"Why did you call me a gay?"

and the guy replied,

"Blades as in blades of grass"
