It's cuz there's too many outlets of unconscious behaviour coupled with some dumb fuckin over stimulating nonsense. Unconscious =things you submit to just cuz that may be status quo, ultimately dwindling you down Over stimulating=the news, sports, phones, advertising, keeping up with the Kardashians.... etc.
You're kidding me, right? Either that or you don't live in the U.S. Spending per pupil just goes up and up. Here in western NYS one of the local TV stations checked all the nearby schools a few months ago, and a majority of them have fewer pupils (including the one I pay taxes to) yet spending has gone up. I doubt it's much different anywhere else in the country. One of the principles threw the reporter out of a public meeting because he didn't like the questions he was being asked. He apologized for it a few days later. Like anything else run by government, they like to keep everything as secret as possible, including how they squander the money taken from people against their will -- which they are using to get fat and happy on. And like any other gov't bureaucracy they are highly inefficient because the monetary incentives are the reverse of any sound business plan. Fuck the government schools and teachers and teachers' unions and forcing me to pay to "educate" other people's kids. I will be making my 41st annual school tax payment the end of this month and I have no kids -- although that doesn't even matter. The system is fucked and deserves to crash and burn. The golden parachutes these assholes are retiring with is criminal.
I blame the public school system. Also fear, fear makes people stupid. When you're afraid to question, you take what is presented without argument. Also I blame the reefer. And baseball.
