Why are headshops called headshops?

    I think the most convincing arguments relate to "deadheads," "potheads," and the like.

  5. I believe it started back in medieval times. If you were to be caught smoking marijuana which they called gritscrub back then, you would be taken to be beheaded, hence ( "head" ) and back then the word shop started from underground stores that sold drugs, mainly marijuana and paraphanellia. Satanic stoners from San Diego in the late 60's researched it and put two and two together and came up with headshop.

    Wtf there was prohibition in medieval times? I thought everyone smoked kush.
