The prices they give when they bust a grow are ridiculous, and they don't know hardly any slang. "Hey wanna buy some 420?" Just stupid shit that's really easy to learn, they can't.
Yeah it's all about politics and looking like they're doing something. It's the same reason they refer to dealers they bust as "violent criminals" and so forth. They need to make it seem like they're doing something more worthwhile to society than just picking on harmless stoners.
